Objectives

To conduct research studies on tribal communities
To record social, economic, religious, political and psychological changes among the scheduled tribes
To publish monographs on the life and culture of the tribal communities
To research about their language and educate them to be confident
To recommend weaker communities for inclusion in the list of SC/ST of Tamil Nadu
To research about their basic needs
To import training and proper orientation on the tribal cultures and development
To establishment of tribal museum to preserve the tribal cultures and development
To prepare perspective plans for the upliftment of the tribes
